What BodegaDrop is

BodegaDrop connects people who want a safe place to receive packages ("receivers") with neighbours, shops and bodegas who hold them ("hosts"). BodegaDrop is a platform. It is not a carrier, a storage company or an insurer, and it never takes possession of packages.

Host terms

• Take reasonable care: keep packages indoors, out of sight of passers by, and away from damage.
• Hand a package only to the receiver, after they give the correct pickup PIN. Check that their photo ID matches the name on the label.
• Refuse or report anything that looks illegal, hazardous, perishable or oversize.
• Hold packages for up to 7 days. After that, contact the receiver to collect or arrange a return.
• Beyond reasonable care, hosts are not responsible for loss, theft, damage or delay of a package, or for its contents.
• Hosts are independent and set their own price, hours and limits. Hosts are responsible for any taxes on what they earn.

Receiver terms

• Only ship items that are legal to send and to hold: no weapons, drugs, flammable, chemical or hazardous items, live animals, perishables, or items that are oversize for the host's limits.
• Log expected packages, collect within 7 days, and bring your PIN and photo ID.
• Pay the host's listed fee for each package you pick up. For now this is paid directly to the host in person or by Venmo.
• Use carrier tracking and shipping insurance for valuable items. Claims for items lost before delivery go to the carrier or seller.

Payments

During the beta, BodegaDrop does not process payments and charges no platform fee. Card payments may be added later, with clear notice before any change.

Conduct

Be respectful. No harassment, scams, spam or discrimination. We may remove listings or accounts that break these terms. Report problems in the app.

Liability

BodegaDrop is provided as is. To the extent allowed by law, BodegaDrop is not liable for packages, their contents, or interactions between members. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under New York law that cannot be limited.

Your account

You can delete your account at any time from Me, Delete my account. This deletes your data as described in the privacy policy.
